2 gallons is fine for a betta, and just he is in a cup for a picture doesn't mean he lives there. In the first picture he is in a tank.
And to the first person the posted, that is very rude and extremely uncalled for.

to the first person who commented, you are very rude and that was not the tank he was actually kept in. maybe you should check your facts before being such a jerk. i was cleaning his tank and put him in a bowl and decided to take a picture real quick. im honestly a little shocked that you were so rude, your probably the first really unpleasant person ive met on here. anyway, that wasnt his real tank. he lived in a 10 gallon.

You should consider getting one of those 5 gal kits for this guy. Some live plants would be nice too.
